Do you just love those airports where you can arrive just a few minutes before your flight takes off and make it thru the check in and security lines within minutes (actually, what lines)? Well, this is one of those! There aren't a lot of food choices - Starbucks, Silks Saratoga Bistro, an italian place and some smoothie bar that also serves sandwiches - but it's fine for what it is.  There's also a Dunkin' before the security gates on the second floor. Two newsstands (with the same material) in different areas. Inside the terminal there are local art and history displays, classical music playing, even a meditation room . There's a little Saranac brew pub so you can have one last local brew before leaving town. Many of the gates have plugs and USB chargers in the waiting areas (thank you, Southwest), there's free Wifi throughout, and quite a few lounge chairs if you've got time to kill. I was surprised at how many Albany Airport hotels there are within a 2 mile or so radius, and if you didn't think ahead and arrange a hotel and parking package, the short-term Albany Airport parking is $24 a day (here's a tissue, but didn't I tell you to set up your hnp?).

Clean, bright, and nice little airport.
