Ted Stevens International Airport. You know, the former AK senator who was embroiled in corruption charges (7 of them) by a federal grand jury. The "bridge to nowhere" guy? The "pork" guy? So, of course the airport is gorgeous. But don't go holding that name against them, Alaskans are lovely, almost as nice as Canadians, and so is their airport. Clean and beautifully designed, you're in for a treat in the form of a simulated aurora borealis on the way to the car rental place. Wonderful restaurants and plenty of sparkling clean bathrooms, nice TSA agents and lots of taxidermied animals - its Alaska- and there's free wifi and armrest-free seats to topple over in comfortably. There is plenty of Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport parking available, and since it is rarely crowded, everything goes quickly and painlessly. If you would like to stay at an Anchorage International Airport hotel, there are many to choose from within a couple of miles.
