Quaint little airport in need of a facelift, but regional airports are great for business travel because there's rarely any line-up at security, and my visit was no different. Also, that facelift seems to be in progress at the present time; so lets check again later.

Nice also to see the TSA hasn't placed any of their cancer-inducing nude-o-scopes at BHM.

I HATE airport bathroom stall doors that open into the stall.  It's a pain in the butt having to drag your luggage with you into a stall which is not much larger than a broom closet. At this airport though, the door opens OUT!  The door design rocks. But the bathroom wasn't very clean. I've seen worse at other airports, but I've also seen lot better and cleaner.

1. Many people who work here seem to not like their job or people in general.

2. The place is dirty. The airport vacuum cleaner has apparently been sent out for repairs. Note thick layers of dust on and under the seats in waiting areas, unvacuumed floors, and old spill stains everywhere.

3. Baggage claim is slower than most places. Even if you are on the last flight, you will still wait a while on luggage.

4. As has been mentioned, food options are scarce. If you don't want to start a long day of flying with pizza hut or Quiznos grease in your stomach, your options are seriously limited.

The Birmingham Intenational Airport! Parking garages are horrible, walk to get to the terminals with luggage is not the best. I am not a fan of ATL either. I prefer Montgomery Airport and will pay the additional costs for the fast, prompt service. And clean is never a bad thing, either.
