Boston port is very accessible via car or public transport. It is in the World Trade Center portion of the city.
There are 15 cruise lines currently use Boston Port. These are Classic International Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Holland America Line, Hapag Lloyd Cruises, P&O Cruises, Cunard Line, Phoenix Seereisen, Princess Cruises, Phoenix Reisen Cruises, Saga Holidays, Fred Olsen Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
Boston port is just 10 minutes away from Boston Logan International Airport. Although there is ample Boston Cruise Port parking available and no reservations are required, it is as expensive as you would expect.
The Port of Boston has a wide variety of captivating museums and artistic exhibitions, tour opportunities, ethnic festivals, wonderful theater, and great dining establishments. Boston’s harbor is the base for ferry rides and sightseeing cruises since the harbor is dotted with picturesque islands and its entryway is guarded by an historic lighthouse.
Visitors will enjoy a short walk through Boston’s historic North End (the old North Church of Paul Revere fame is located here). The North End has quaint tree lined streets and is famed for its Italian restaurants, although if you are an Italian from Brooklyn, you will not be impressed. Faneuil Hall Marketplace is nearby; it offers lots of shopping and restaurants in an historical setting.
Boston is also home to the Children's Museum and New England Aquarium which is just a 30-minute walk from the Institute of Contemporary Art. The Harbor walk traces through various waterfront neighborhoods including the Charles River Esplanade. You can take the Boston “T” across the Charles River to Cambridge and visit Harvard University (one of many famous Boston area universities). Seafood is another one of the specialties here. For the pickiest traveler, this port has much to offer.
As for Boston Cruise Port hotels, there are the Courtyard, Holiday Inn Express, Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel, Seaport Hotel at Seaport World Trade Center are the hotels right nearby.
