Port of Burlington has museums and historic sites to visit, but the real heart of this town is outdoor recreation. If you think shopping qualifies, then there's a little of that, too. But there are hiking trails and golf course after golf course. I was surprised to find that Burlington Cruise Port parking was about twice as expensive as towns of similar size and, uhm, limited attraction offerings - but okay, I never bother with that anyway, I just set up my park and cruise package. There is Fun City, which another reviewer hilariously (I'm still laughing) referred to as "more like mold city". But as Iowa's premiere family destination, FunCity features indoor and outdoor water parks, four dining options, an award-winning bowling alley (!), over 100 interactive arcade games, kiddie go-carts, a multi-level laser tag arena, the Best Western PZAZZ, Catfish Bend Inn & Spa, Spirit Hollow golf course, a 25,000 square foot indoor speedway, Catfish Bend Casino, and a full-service spa and salon. There are also a few nice Burlinton Cruise Port hotels, so go ahead, knock yourself out.
