CAK is right off the freeway, and the Akron Airport parking is right across the street, but why don't they have a garage so your car won't get buried in snow if you happen to leave it there for a few days during winter travel months?

Inside, the airport is very clean and well-maintained and the limited choices for food and shopping are adequate, considering the size.
I prefer it to other larger airports, since you can get in and out rather quickly and there are rarely ever any lines. There are about 5 or so Akron Airport hotels nearby, and that's good enough for this small airport. 

PROS
- lots of power outlets
- security is pretty fast , and friendly
- rental cars are close, no shuttle necessary
- you're never more than a quick walk to your gate
- no big airport hassle

However.......
- wi-fi is free but extra-slow. remember dial-up? like that.
- no aisle selection for rental cars because the lot isn't secured 
- each airline  keeps a skeleton staff that works both the check-in counters and the gates; if your flight is delayed, be prepared to wait for airline staff until you are very blue in the face.
- no priority lane for security
