DAB airport is an answered prayer for the business traveler in Orlando.  It takes only minutes to go from parking your car, check-in and drop bags, go through security and be sitting at your gate.  Anyone that has dealt with the swarms of tourist madness at MCO can appreciate how wonderful this is.  From the airline staff, TSA staff and other airport amenities staff, everyone is just so dang friendly!  It is unreal how friendly everyone is. Daytona Beach Airport parking costs is about half that of MCO!! Only con is that the parking isn't covered. With only six gates there is really never a wait to taxi or land.

If you are looking for a glamorous airport with tons of amenities, this isn't it.  It is very, very basic.  There is only one little "restaurant"/sundries/bar in the middle of the terminal so if you are looking for food or a drink, you may be better off at the Subway or restaurant/bar before you go through security.   A lot of folks that live here will drive to Orlando, Sanford, or Jacksonville to save on airfare, but most of the time when you figure out the higher cost of parking at those airports, as well as the gas and time costs, it's no cheaper. And you can choose just about any Daytona Beach Airport hotel, and have a lovely ( and surprisingly low-priced) stay as well as free vacation parking and shuttle service with your hotel and parking package.
