Flint Bishop Airport. Small, but nice. Bishop International Airport Parking is always a breeze, though of course not a bargain like a park and fly package.

Living in the Detroit area and want to save significant $$$ on your airline travel?  Simply drive to Flint!  Example recently - We wanted to fly to Houston (R/T).  Airfare from DTW over $600 each, from CLE over $800 each - from Flint - $345 each!!  Big savings for making the 50 minute drive from Ann Arbor to FNT rather than the 30 minute drive to DTW.
From the NE suburbs of Detroit, travel time is the same, but Flint is a much nicer airport. Finding it is not a problem. Located right off the highway with a cell phone waiting lot and easy rental car return it is one of the better smaller airports I have been to. Check in was simple - the ticketing counters were almost empty, yet the staff was very helpful. TSA was extremely fast and painless for me as well. And they have a Sam Adams Flint bar on the other side of the TSA check-in. How can you complain about this airport?Maybe they don't have too many FNT Airport Hotels, but a litle is enough for a small place like this.

It's nothing big and fancy like the Atlanta airport, but it's easy to get around, and the ticket line doesn't take forever, always a plus. And really, what's more important, being able to sip wine waiting on your connection, or getting to your gate in time? Yeah.
