Pros:
1.  Not LAX...enough said.
2.  You can actually show up less than an hour before your flight and still make it.  It's never crowded here so you'll breeze through security.  Then again, it's Ontario.  Why would it be crowded?
3.  So far, I haven't experienced any delays.  Did I mention it isn't like heL-LAX?
4.  Super clean and enough plugs to charge your electronics.

Cons:
1.  The food places and bars close at 5:30PM.  Seriously?
2.  Because it is a small airport, you're limited on flights and airlines.  Prepare for a layover.

And what on earth is UP with the high ONT Airport parking cost? Hey, ONT, Im not parking a mobile home in your parking lots so why the LAX fees for parking?  At least with BUR (Burbank Airport)  there are $9 lots.   To your credit, shuttle buses are frequent to the parking lots.  They should just drop all pretense and put up a sign in front of the parking lot with a guy wearing a burglar's mask that says "welcome to ONT parking; and stick 'em up" If food is important before your evening  fly-out , get something on the way in as airport food places close at 5PM.  Otherwise, I like the ONT airport.  Sometimes flights to the East Coast are very cheap (sometimes $100 less than LAX) out of ONT so be on the look out. You can get a park and fly pakage to hole up at an LA/Ontario International Airport Hotel so the distance isn't a prob.

But seriously, If you get delayed here you are up a creek!  Might as well prepare to chew off your own arm because it is a ghost town after 5:30pm on the weekends and 7:00pm M-F, even the Carl's Jr. closes early.  I had a 7:00pm flt out of ONT to PHX last Saturday, along with my 4 year old son.  At first we were delayed 5 minutes, then 20, then another 20.  I was starting to get an anxiety attack - were we going to get food?  Water?  Would we be forced to survive on Southwest Airlines peanuts?  Thank God we finally got out of there just after 8pm (hungry of course).

On the flip side, you can pull up to the curb, get through security and be at your gate in under 7 minutes.  And it's usually very easy to get flights in and out for less $ than other LA airports.  As long as you're not delayed, you're golden!
