Although LAX is one airport that I try to avoid, sometimes I have no choice.  If you're flying internationally or even Hawaii, LAX is usually the main flights heading there.  This is one busy airport, especially in the AM.  I've seen lines from TSA heading out to the curb.  This is especially crazy if you're running a little late.  Bottom line, you have to plan for this airport and get here early.  Traffic heading here, the long check in lines, and the long TSA lines means you better be prepared to get heer early.  The restaurants and kiosk lines are even long.  There are plenty of low rated Los Angeles Airport parking lots to choose from; just hope that you park in the right one & that nothing will happen to your car. But by now you know I always set up my hotel and parking deal in advance for one of the many listed Los Angeles Airport hotels nearby. Not only do I save all that money I would have given to the parking lot, but my ride to the terminal is also included. Let someone else get paid to stress over the hair-raising LAX traffic, why should we both suffer?

And here's the lowdown on the low end of the spectrum:

1) International / Domestic Arrival - why on earth do I have to walk for 5-10 mins while carrying my heavy carry-on just to get to the luggage area.
2) Carts - Pay for carts to carry my luggage around?...wow!
3) Wi-Fi - um....where's the free internet? Unfortunately, as a traveler...I'm not rich enough to use roaming to make calls or texts in LA.
4) Airport's too big and the buildings are not connected - exactly the same problem as point 2. Not a nice experience when I have to walk to another building while hand carrying my heavy luggage around without a cart. At least they have a Starbucks for my post traumatic stress.

5) Teeny weeny bathrooms, with 4 stalls. Are you serious?

They do have plenty of charging outlets, though.
