This bright and pleasant Airport, located in Holler Park, is one of those refreshing surprises in air travel. The design gives an open-air feeling that is super-peaceful. Checking in and going through security is a breeze. Its also nice and  clean, every single inch of it, like your mom (or mine) was there or something. There aren't exactly a million shops, but as Spencer Tracy said, what's there is choice. Johnny Rockets, in case you don't know (poor you), gives you super-classic americana burgers and milkshakes straight out of your childhood. Furthermore, the prices at these airport shops are not astronomical, just regular everyday prices. This airport has - are you ready - a ping pong table. Plenty of signs, and the fact that the entire place is well-organized, make for a pleasant, low-stress experience. If you're after a good MKE airport hotel, there are some nice selections right nearby.

Even Milwaukee General Mitchell International airport parking is significantly stress-reduced. $6 a day (what?), and $12 a day for covered parking (how can it be true?). Of course, you'll always save a bundle if you don't have to resort to airport parking at all because you planned a park and fly in advance; but if you're a last minute wreck - this is the best airport parking deal you're ever going to see. Hop on the shuttle - which even has a nice driver (I don't believe it!)- and away you go. And because General Mitchell Intl. is so well-run, this has got to be the last American airport where you can show up less than an hour before your flight leaves, and still be sure you won't miss it.
