Even though the wi-Fi does not work on Android or iPhone, its easy to get in and out of OAK. What a relief from something like SFO. In my opinion, Oakland airport is a lot like Burbank airport vs. LAX. One is much less stress free than the other!Love all of the improvements they've made. Fentons, Gordon Biersch, finally a Starbucks! Oh, and it's definitely cheaper to fly out from Oakland Int'l versus SFO, but you can't really compare the two in terms of atmosphere, service and pricing. My OAK plane tickets were so much cheaper and the drive there wasn't too bad from San Jose. Lots of chairs with USB Connection and power outlets. There's lots of nice Oakland International airport hotels, which  helps when you book a park and fly deal  because, honey, no one can afford these parking rates!

PROS
Getting picked up and dropped off is easy as pie
Free wifi and tons of plugs
Flights usually depart pretty close to on time
Security is usually not too big of a hassle, but I have noticed the bag screeners not even paying attention to the xray, so what am I getting all irradiated for?

Cons
If you have to take airbart, the people around the station can be, uhm, strange
Their long term Oakland International Aiport parking is way more expensive than SFO and doesn't have a consistent shuttle schedule.
