So, of course you can drink and gamble in town and not worry about having to get to the airport so early. If you do, there are slot machines like any Nevada airport to continue gambling. Once past security, take refuge in what I like to call the "nature room" which is a room painted entirely green and has rocking chairs.

Small and clean airport. If you are returning a rental car and also flying SWA, prepare for a hike, because the SWA ticketing desks are on the other side from where you go in the main entrance from the rental lot. The Reno Tahoe International Airport parking isn't that far, but it isn't much of a bargain, either.

Security lines were short. Lots of newer slot machines if you have more money to burn. The slot attendant was super nice too... came by a couple of times to make sure we were ok and asked us about our trip, which was cool.

I am giving it a 5 because I put in a 20 and on my first pull, won about 90 dollars.   Oh, the free Wi-Fi gets a 1 because it's almost as slow as dial up.

Some airlines have curtailed service to RNO due to the economy....not passenger preferences. There are few and far between long-haul flights beyond Chicago or Dallas that offer jet service. Continental no longer offers direct flights to Houston; Delta rarely offers bigger jet service to Salt Lake City; Alaska Airlines does not offer bigger jet service to Seattle. Hail to Southwest, however, who offers the most inward/outward schedule.

Baggage delivery to the carousels remains ridiculous. It often can take over 40 minutes for bags to 'come up'.

Dining at RNO? Ha, ha. there are little, if any foodie stands, inside of TSA. Slots and shots, yes. Ok, so you will be liquified, if anything, before you board. I hope you've had a good night's rest at the local RNO airport hotel, so you don't look like an old paper bag when you get off the plane at home.
