Flight on time....CHECK.....Bags there upon arrival...CHECK. Whooo Hoooo!!!

For me this made this an amazing trip to the airport. I arrived and without any trouble found a monitor and easy directions to baggage claim. Perfect! While walking through I noticed there was a good variety of places to eat and little stores to shop in.

On my return trip, I actually had a pleasant experience through security, I was greeted, we had some small talk and painlessly made it though. Another great feature for this airport, is that while I was waiting for my flight to take off, there were plenty of plugs for all my gadgets (terminal B) and Free Wi-Fi!!! I had to get a last minute flight to Chicago from Austin and found a $300 cheaper fare from San Antonio.   So spend $50 in gas to save $250, COUNT ME IN! Even if you spring for a San Antonio Airport Hotel, you're still ahead. Better yet: a park and fly package deal!

San Antonio International Airport parking garage is really close to the terminal, and it was much easier to get in and out than Austin. This is, basically, an airport with just two terminals: A & B. B is deluxe and A is kerplunk.It lacks charging stations that many airports nowadays have. People were sitting on the floor along the wall to charge up their phones/laptops.

Isn't it cute how it says "international"? Don't worry, you're not off to Istanbul or France or anything - just Mexico.

They don't call it Tex-Mex for nothing.
