If you have ever been here you'll remember how quaint and charming this airport is.  Which is unusual, because it is an AIRPORT.  But it has a very comfy feel and tons of rocking chairs to make it even more comfy.  I am sure there are long lines for security at times, but I have never seen one, and the people are friendly.  Even the ones that go through your bags. Savannah Airport is positively adorable. With its open skylights, bricked/tiled floors, plants, lounge areas, affordable food/coffee, comfortable wait areas and free internet, this small airport made my week. Also, the gates are not miles away from food and lounge areas, making it easy to relax without that miserable "waiting in the airport at my gate" atmosphere.

Small town, yet modern.  You can pull up to the curb without the big town hassles of big waved off by two bit security guards. There is actually a free car wait area that is close enough to the airport for pickup and your actually on the fence line near the run way and can usually spot your incoming parties arriving flight and yet keep the kids entertained with the simple country life. Savannah Hilton Head Airport Parking runs about $12; not bad, not great. There is a nice selection of Savannah Airport hotels for a hotel and parking package, which is better anyway.
