The port of San Diego is the fastest growing cruise port on the west coast, and from here you can take a boat to the Mexican Riviera, Hawaii, and the Panama Canal. Even if you are not planning on taking a cruise from the port, you'll love a visit to soak up the hustle and bustle and enjoy watching the beautiful waves lap against the shore.

For a more culturally rich day, you can head to one of the many museums to be found in San Diego. A must-do activity is to head to one of San Diego´s many amazing beaches. La Jolla Shore is approximately one mile of sandy beach, with a long pier and the honored title of ´the best beach in the area´ by Orange County Register. Also in La Jolla is the Windansea Beach which is named after a hotel by the ocean which unfortunately burnt down in the 1940´s. People love to visit this beach for its excellent surf waves and also for its palm covered shack which was built in 1946 and still stands today, having been designated as a historical landmark in 1998. Next up is the wonderfully fun SeaWorld San Diego where you can watch ´Spirit´, an amazing killer whale show, get close enough to touch a dolphin´s fin, and watch sharks, from a safe distance. There are also amazing rides, both for adults and children, such as the Shipwreck Rapids, Bayside Skyride, Sky Tower, and Journey to Atlantis. In the summer you can catch a showing of Cirque de la Mer, which features acrobats, music and interesting creatures.
