Port of Seattle, Washington
Smith Cove Cruise Terminal
Pier 91 Cruise Terminal
The Magnolia neighborhood located north of Pier 91 is accessible by one of three bridges, making it somewhat secluded from the fast pace of downtown Seattle. Magnolia's downtown district, known as "the village," features several restaurants, coffee shops and specialty shops. From Pier 91, head northwest to West McGraw Street between 32nd and 34th Avenues to find the village shops and the 15-acre Magnolia Playfield, which features an outdoor pool, athletic fields and a playground. Hang onto something for this one, though: Seattle Cruise Port Parking is not exactly a bargain at $28 a day for general parking, and $35 a day for terminal direct parking. In this case, a park and cruise deal will save you literally hundreds of dollars, and will treat you better by resting you up for the night and then driving you to the cruise terminal, all fresh and cheerful.
Located 2.6 miles northwest of Pier 91, Discovery Park spans 534 acres, earning it the title of Seattle's largest park. Stroll along two miles of saltwater shoreline or bike or jog on a portion of the 11.8 miles of trails established throughout the park. A Native American cultural center, the Daybreak Star, occupies 20 acres of the park and features a permanent art collection and conference center facility. Other highlights of Discovery Park include tennis courts, a children's playground, picnic tables and a lighthouse.
Managed by the Port of Seattle, 11-acre Elliott Bay Park is located two miles south of Pier 91 along Seattle's waterfront. A bike and pedestrian trail known as the Elliott Bay Trail connects the Smith Cove Terminal at Pier 91 to both Elliott Bay Park and the nine-acre Olympic Sculpture Park. Elliott Bay Park features a 400-foot fishing pier, rose garden, exercise stations and access to 4,100 feet of shoreline. Choose from a nice selection of Seattle Cruise Port hotels right nearby. Adjacent to the south end of the park, Olympic Sculpture Park is a free park operated by the Seattle Art Museum, which displays outdoor sculptures of various sizes throughout the property. The park has meadows, an amphitheater and a gift shop; tours are open to the public or may be scheduled for private groups.
