Vanuatu is an island nation in the South Pacific, consisting of approximately 82 relatively small, geologically newer islands of volcanic origin (65 of them inhabited), It is a perfect location for travelers wanting a unique tropical destination that is relatively untouched by massive tourism trades.
While on holiday in Vanuatu you can soak up the sun, dive a ship wrecked luxury liner and witness unique cultural ceremonies, traditional villages and primitive art and performances. Vanuatu is also home to the famous art of land diving, the only tradition of its kind in the world. Performed on the island of Pentecost, this tradition is thought to be the first form of bungee jumping in the world and is only carried out at selected times of the year. The Vanuatu Jungle Zipline will give you an adrenaline rush as you reach speeds of over 100 km/hour on one of their six lines. Cross suspension bridges over an 80-meter canyon, and give yourself a thrill.
All the islands of Vanuatu offer fantastic views, landscapes, rainforests, great diving, lots of fish, and unforgettable Pacific hospitality. Prices here are a lot lower here than the other more well-known Pacific Islands as it’s not yet a “hotspot” to visit. But just because people don’t come here, doesn’t mean it isn’t paradise. In fact, it’s probably even more of a paradise because of the fewer people. The best time to visit between April and October. Rent a kayak, sailboat, or go on an organized boating tour around the islands. Kayaking tours will take you to a small coral island, which is a beautiful sight to see. An island nation needs to be explored by water!
